chit-chat

Our son has turned into quite the chatter box these days. Just turning 16 months and instantly his vocabulary has tripled and his pronunciation has drastically improved. Here are a few words that my adorable son is now saying... over and over and over and over... in addition to his own language which is simply enchanting to listen to:

moon, bird, Jake (he also sniffs when you ask him what a dog says), Gaga, Pop (short for poppy), Dada, Mommy, NO!, book, turtle, light, fish, starfish, water, butterfly, duck, bug, and the list goes on... and on and on... he does a lot of signing too: please, thank you, your welcome, more... usually it's 'more' and 'please' at the same time!

Yesterday he was looking for turtles around the house (yes, we live in FL and have a tropical house), and when he couldn't find one he blurts out: "no turtle... no turtle". Today as we were reading books before nap time he got very upset when it was time for bed. "No mama, book... book!" All while signing "Please"... It's all very amusing for us first time parents.

ps: I have to put this in here.... His Grandmother Nancy was over the other day and he decided he would call her "Budahba"... now isn't that endearing. Even more endearing will be when he's 18 and still calling her that! He loves his "Budahba". :)
